Chart notes
SHE A HOT MESS stumbled at the start, then checked hard on the first turn, settled into stride down the backstretch while four wide, advanced on the far turn while three wide, angled in nearing the furlong marker to make a bid, went on even terms passed the sixteenths pole, then slowly edged clear late to prove best under a drive. HOPE HAS A NAME stalked the early pace four wide and made a three wide bid on the far turn to assume command passed the quarter pole and draw clear but then was headed by the sixteenth pole and was outfinished late, good effort. LOVE IN HER EYES was rated along early, then was roused on the far turn and four wide to move into contention swung out wide for the drive but needed more. SONETTA was rated along towards the inside, angled out in the drive but had no significant rally. CAUSE I SAID lacked a rally. LILACS was away alertly to set the pace while racing removed from the rail and was headed around the five sixteenths pole then gave way.
