Chart notes
ALWAYS DRINKING broke slowest, advanced four wide then wore down pacesetter passing the eighth pole and drew clear in a moderate drive. STEVETHEVANDRIVER rushed to a clear advantage inside, was collared near the eighth pole and yielded. GOLDEN HUGHES chased between rivals down the backstretch and faltered. UNDER THE RADAR unseated his rider during the warmup, lost his irons at the start but closed well. TERP TOWN outrun early racing outside then passed fading rivals. DONTFORGETTOBLINK saved ground off the leader and weakened steadily. BARRIO was urged close up early along the rail and gave way readily. SPLASH chased wide within striking range but stopped abruptly.
