Chart notes
GOLD AND STRIKE stalked through the backstretch then bid toward the five sixteenths pole, rounded the turn about the three path, dug in from the head of the lane and got up the final yards. GANDARI chased toward the inside, eased off the rail leaving the turn, dug in to take second the final yards and just missed the win. FIRST LADY MAGGIE chased through the backstretch, raced near the rail on the turn then outfinished for second late yards. DARK TRICKS took over inside nearing the half mile pole, came under pressure approaching the quarter, widened on the turn and dug in under steady stretch encouragement, but was caught flattening stride late. STYLISH PAINT broke awkwardly and had a brief early lead, gave chase through the backstretch, raced in the four path of the turn and finished well. KINGSTON TIME chased toward the outside, rounded the turn about the five path and was gaining late. POLISHED COPPER saved ground on the turn.
