Chart notes
MADAM HENNY raced in contention off the top trio in the opening quarter, moved up four deep to challenge for the lead near the three-eighths pole, vied outside of VERRAZANO ISLAND into the lane, held a slim lead at the eighth pole then cleared on top and held firm. VERRAZANO ISLAND vied inside of rivals out of the gate, battled on with MADAM HENNY into the upper stretch, could not match with eventual winner past the furlong marker but stayed on with response and held place. JUST PASSING THRU tracked the early pace then was ridden along two wide mid-way around the turn, got carried out five to six wide entering the lane then closed with response and gained a share. MISS KENNEDY saved ground through early stages then shifted out leaving the quarter pole, drifted five wide entering the lane then ran on evenly. VALLEJO vied for the lead through the backstretch and around the turn then gave way. MRS. DELLA vied for the lead in the opening quarter, battled back around the turn then faded in the lane.
