Chart notes
MR LIGHTNING BOY matched strode for the lead two wide into the stretch, gained a short lead when put to a left handed whip and proved best under a strong hand ride. STORM PEAK never far back, rallied late three wide and just missed. LAUDERDALE trailed into the stretch then circled five wide and was steadily gaining ground late. TOM T WHO stalked the pace and finished with good courage four wide. SOUTHERN SPIRIT set the early pace along the inside, battled until mid stretch and weakened.
