U S S COSTLY broke sharply carrying a healthy lead through the turn, drew off along the rail in upper stretch winning under a drive. CAPTAIN YENNER bore out jamming a trio of rivals at the break, circled out to mid track in upper stretch coming on to save place. LORD BYRON was squeezed back at the break lagging through the turn, swung out six wide in upper stretch responded with a solid finish. SALTY SNAPPER was squeezed back at the break, lagging through the turn would swing out to the four path in mid stretch surging in the last yards. WILD WINE was squeezed back at the break hustling to regroup chasing a loose leader to upper stretch weakening under a drive. HARVEST GOLD chased through the turn tiring in upper stretch. PIRATE EXPLOSIVE faded on the turn. SMOKIN CITY clipped heels near the rail being taken up near the three eighths pole being eased to wire. A STEWARDS INQUIRY RESULTED IN NO CHNAGES.
