APPEALING FUTURE broke a step slowly, rushed to duel outside then edged away under confident handling. HIDE THE RANSOM set the pace inside, vied through the turn and continued gamely. GETOFFMYBACK stalked the pacesetters outside and made a gradual late gain. REGAL QUALITY broke very slowly, raced wide on the turn and was no threat. STRAWBERRY RED was urged just off the leaders inside and weakened. SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS dropped back outside and stopped abruptly.
