Chart notes

NOT INVENTED HERE stalked the early pace three wide then went up to vie for the lead four wide on the backstretch, then continued to duel for command passed the quarter pole, then exchanged bumps with DAMIR leaving the turn, then slowly edged clear to prove best in the stretch under a drive. DAMIR vied for the early lead and was in between rivals while three to four wide down the backstretch, then dueled for command on the far turn, exchanged bumps with the winner leaving the turn, then was outfinished while staying on gamely to the wire. PREFONTAINE was allowed to settle while five wide, then put in a run five wide on the far turn and came six wide into the drive but had no real kick while besting the others. GALTERO was well rated early, then made a two wide middle move and in between rivals passed the nine sixteenths pole to vie for command but weakened. POPPY'S PRIZE was bumped at the start, then went up to vie for the lead from inside then weakened. SECOND LINE DAVID failed to respond while wide.
