Chart notes
PRINCE MAGICIAN vied inside a pair of rivals while four wide into the first turn, gained control into the backstretch, led clear through the far turn, drifted out into the stretch and continued to drift further in the lane while drawing off. ROADSIDE vied between rivals and five wide into the first turn, moved in a path while ceding the lead to PRINCE MAGICIAN, flanked the leader up the backstretch, chased three then two wide around the far turn, could not summon the needed late kick but stayed on for a clear second. ABI GEZUNT vied six then five wide around the first turn, stalked the leader from outside on the backstretch, navigated the far turn four then five wide, drifted inward in the stretch and weakened. MONGOLIAN WOLF traveled along the rail through the clubhouse turn, moved off the rail, went two wide into the far turn, steered out and came five wide into the stretch and never made an impact. SIR WILLIAMS DREAM took the first turn three wide, remained off the rail into the stretch and was never a factor.
