Chart notes
KEY TO THE CITY set the pace racing off the rail, went in the three path through the turn, drew clear and was in hand late. SUN TREADER bumped the outside rival at the start, switched out after the opening sixteenth about nine or ten wide, moved in nine to six deep on the turn, gained the place. WILD FIREWATER reared at the start, went in the four then five path on the turn, was in tight quarters briefly near the furlong marker and ran on. J J'S CHAMP chased the winner from inside, saved ground, fought on to preserve a placing. EL MAFIA raced outside a foe and off the leader into the turn three to four wide, flattened out thereafter. PLENTY PLENTY was off slowly and bumped, lacked early speed, raced inside.
