SUNDAY DRIVE vied for the lead through the first turn, cleared into the backstretch, continued on a clear lead into the far turn, widened into the lane, had his largest advantage with an eighth to go then was kept to a strong drive to hold. JOHNSTOWN JOHNNY tracked the winner while near the inside into the far turn, moved through the two or three path in the turn, continued in the three path after straightening in the lane and was gaining late. DOM CAETANO (ARG) was along the inside throughout and offered a mild rally inside the eighth pole while along the inside. BOAT WAMPUM was put in tight and checked into the first turn, continued in the two or three path through the far turn, asked for more entering the lane and weakened. KENYA ROAD was in the two path through the turns and faded.
