Chart notes
VARNISHED was allowed to settle early while four wide down the backstretch, then came into the stretch five wide and closed well to get up in time under a drive. BAD BOY was rated along on the inside, then angled out for racing room in the stretch and closed well to lead late but was caught at the wire to just miss. BATTLESHIP BEVO vied for the early lead three wide, then went on to set the pace and move over to the rail on the backstretch, led passed the furlong marker and faded late while holding on to the show award. GLASS EATER vied for the early lead on the inside then yielded to BATTLESHIP BEVO and switched to the three path, made a bid on the turn to vie for command again but hung late. HAMAZING WISDOM tracked the early pace three wide and made a four wide bid on the turn but flattened out. LOOKIN HIGH was allowed to settle early, then was five wide passed the quarter pole and had a mild rally but needed more. CONATIVE was allowed to settle on the inside, angled off the rail in the drive but had no serious rally.
