Chart notes
J BERESFORD TIPTON allowed to settle, gained position two and three wide through the second turn, bid four wide into the lane, made a steady gain and drew off under mild pressure. DRIFTWOOD sprinted to a clear lead soon after the start, stayed on when challenged through the second turn, then was no match for the winnner, while clear best of the rest. SOMETHING NATURAL well placed, saved ground on the two path through the second turn, bid on that path into the lane, angled out and had a mild late gain. BUGLE BARRY well placed, gained a striking position on the two path through the second turn, bid three wide into the lane and weakened in the drive. SEVILLE BARBER was no factor. UNCONQUERED SPIRIT rated close up, saved ground through the turns, came through inside of rivals into the stretch and faded.
