SIR BREGOVIC broke sharply and vied for the lead from along entering the first turn, assumed command entering the backstretch and dictated the pace into the final turn, saved ground through the final turn, and held off a late bid by COULTERBERRY late while drifting out slightly in deep stretch. COULTERBERRY unhurried early while dropping back to trail, advanced two wide midway down the backstretch, rallied smartly three wide through the final turn to loom an imposing threat leaving the turn, and finished evenly five wide in the drive to prove second best. R W STANLEY settled off the early pace while saving ground at the rail entering the backstretch, rallied smartly from just off the rail entering the final turn, and finished evenly three wide in the stretch drive. DRILLER away well and tracked the leader into the backstretch while saving ground at the rail, rallied along the rail entering the final turn, but faded in the late going. HOME RUN GUY away alertly and dueled for the lead one out from the rail entering the first turn, sat a tracking trip entering the backstretch, struggled to keep tabs on the leader approaching the final turn, and weakened over the final furlong.
