Chart notes
FLASHINTHENIGHT raced in range through early stages, moved around the turn three wide, was put to a drive at the head of the lane, responded and kicked clear nearing the wire. DAWN'S EARLY LIGHT saved ground around the turn, made a two wide move at the eighth pole, inched up to a slim lead then got edged out late. THE WANT OF A NAIL moved up three wide midway around the turn and took the lead, continued on top at the eighth pole then came under pressure from both sides in the final sixteenth and got out-finished. MOSBY'S RANGER vied inside of MORE THUNDER for the early lead, got overtaken by THE WANT OF A NAIL at the five-sixteenths pole, ran on to the final furlong then gave way. MORE THUNDER vied outside of MOSBEY'S RANGER in early stages, got overhauled midway around the turn then steadily faded. MR STARK lacked speed, raced four wide into the lane and never menaced.
