Chart notes
JOPLIN bobbled at the break, quickly recovered to set all the pace and held gamely to hold a clear margin under steady handling. PLATINUM GALE settled off the early pace, moved up along the inside around the far turn, waited for room nearing the quarter pole and finished second best. DIXIE MOLL stalked the early going, raced three deep through the stretch and had not enough in the drive. HOOSIER GOLD CASE raced in tight quarters at the seven eighths pole, raced five wide into the upper stretch and had no rally. THREE BIRDS was slow early on, raced five wide nearing the three sixteenths pole and had no response. SHESDIAMONITE pulled up in distress and had to be vanned off.
