LUDICROUS MODE was allowed to settle in opening stages, continued unhurried and raced in the back through middle stages, made a move near the three eighths pole, advanced to engage CITY PLAN for the lead and held on top by a slim margin late on the final turn, was ridden along three wide into the lane, cleared on top under steady pressure and held firm. BRAVE DEACON moved to the inside in the opening quarter and saved ground while rated off the top two leaders, picked up the pace around the final turn, angled out near the quarter pole, sustained a four wide bid with response and cleared second best. CITY PLAN sped to the lead out of the gate and set the pace through the backstretch, got collared for the lead by the winner near the quarter pole and weakened to show. MY FRIEND FRANK was forwardly placed behind the leader in early stages, launched a two wide bid entering the final turn but failed to advance then faded in the lane.
