Chart notes
PIVOTAL FEVER broke alertly and set the pace through the turn while two wide, extended the lead off of the turn and was mildly pressured late by the runner-up but held that rival at bay to prevail. HELLO HANDSOME chased the pace while four wide and made a steady bid through the stretch but could not reel in the the winner while a clear second over the rest. LONGFORD settled toward the rear of the field, was four wide on the turn and finished evenly in the stretch run to get third. ANOTHER CHAPTER stalked the pace while saving ground and did not make a rally in the stretch run. COASTING NOW chased the pace by the winner through the turn, lost ground into the stretch and gave out in the late stages. CALIFORNIA BUZZ was off a step slowly, had no speed early, was four wide on the turn and trailed throughout.
