Chart notes
BERNIE'S ON FIRE sprinted to the early lead, set the pace along the rail, drifted out a bit turning for home, opened a clear advantage approaching the eighth pole and prevailed under energetic urging. NEW FRONTIER prompted the pace outside the winner, switched to his left lead late and was gaining. CHARGIN STORM stalked the pace racing slightly off the rail on the turn, swung outside in upper stretch and rallied. KINGSTON PIKE broke awkwardly, drifted five wide leaving the turn and was not a factor. SEANY P raced along the inner rail around the turn and was outrun. ODDS ON , two wide on the turn, retreated through the stretch. An objection by the rider of NEW FRONTIER against BERNIE'S ON FIRE for alleged interference at the head of the stretch was not allowed.
