UNRESTRICTED vied for the lead heading into the first turn then briefly shook clear, quickly came back under pressure and dueled inside of EXIRPATOR through the backstretch, battled on around the far turn, shook free in the upper stretch, drifted out wider in final stages and stayed on gamely. WAR COUNT was forwardly placed around the first turn, tracked in striking distance through the backstretch, launched a three wide bid around the far turn, sustained a steady bid into the lane, shifted out wider in final stages and cleared second best. EXTIRPATOR vied for the lead outside of UNRESTRICTED through the backstretch, battled on around the far turn, could not match strides with the winner in the upper stretch, angled inside with a furlong left to run and race along for show. DESTINY AWAITS raced near the inside not far off the early pace, saved ground around the far turn and lacked a needed rally. The mile time has been omitted.
