Chart notes
MISTER DON chased the pace three wide while in the five path around the turn, bid outside of the leading pair in upper strecth, drove past them at the furlong grounds, and drew clear. EBONY FLASH pressed the pace setter from the outside, vied while being kept in the four path around the turn by that foe, forged an advantage at the quarter pole, but was outkicked by an outer foe approaching the furlong pole, and stayed on to prove second best. DIABLO CAT set the pace along the inside of a foe while staying a few paths off of the inner railing around the turn, but was headed at the quarter pole, then gave way at the furlong grounds. PRINCE LOKI was slow into stride, trailed the field two wide into the turn, shifted three wide in midstretch, and improved position. B B MOODY tracked two wide, but hung on his left lead through the lane and failed to make an impact. SILKY'S DANCE tracked along the inside, but was done early.
