Chart notes
EMPEROR'S CAUSE bumped with CROWN OF HONOR at the start, steadily advanced inside, tipped out to split rivals three wide leaving the quarter pole, moved to the front leaving the eighth pole and edged clear under a drive. GRAN RUNNER set the pace in the two path, led to midstretch, and held well clear of the rest. MYSTERY MO stalked the pace three wide, lugged in while stuck on the left lead in midstretch, switched over near the sixteenth pole and held third. MUTAKAAMIL was in range two wide, angled four wide nearing the lane and lacked a closing bid. CROWN OF HONOR was bumped and shut off at the start, raced four wide and never threatened. CAPE HEDGE veered out at the start and was never involved. FORTIFIED had only brief speed two wide.
