Chart notes
CREEKMORE took the lead soon after the start then angled in to rate the pace two deep, drew clear of News Flash and moved to the rail at the seven sixteenths pole, came under pressure approaching the quarter pole, widened at the rail on the far turn and was steadily handled through the lane. TITAN'S WILL settled back in the three path the first turn, picked up the chase past the half mile pole, rounded the far turn at the rail and dug in to take second later yards. NEWS FLASH stalked inside, dropped back at the seven sixteenths pole and gave chase from that point, raced at the rail on the far turn then flattened stride inside the eighth pole. TRUE CROSSING settled off the pace and off the rail the first turn, picked up the chase nearing the three eighths pole, rounded the far turn off the rail and ran evenly in the stretch. GOLDEN ANSWER raced inside the first turn then settled close in the three path entering the backstretch, gave chase from the three eighths pole, rounded the far turn off the rail then flattened the final furlong. CANDYGRAMFORMONGO hesitated then hit the gate on exit, rounded the first turn in the four path, raced outside into the backstretch and gave chase toward the three eighths pole but showed little response from that point. FUGITIVE saved early ground and never factored. AUBURN MILL rated close in the three path the first turn then faded through the backstretch.
