OPIANA away alertly set the pace holding daylight through the turn, shook clear in upper stretch holding firm under a drive. OSMI SLEW a step slow through the turn emerged off a loose leader along the inside in upper stretch chasing that one home a solid second best. R. C. OWENS broke slowly lagging through the turn, cut the corner to upper stretch showing life along the rail. KALAMA slow early swung six wide into upper stretch passing the others there. CALIFORNIA ONYX chased close up through the turn wearing out on the inside in upper stretch. PAUL BROWN folded up on the turn. JUDGE HUDSON tracked evenly through the turn then wilted in upper stretch.
