Chart notes
THE PROGRAMMER broke a step slowly from the gate, gained a striking position on the two path through the second turn, led into the stretch, then dueled late and held. MCQUEEN'S BULLITT allowed to settle, saved ground through the turns, angled out to bid three wide into the lane, dueled with the winner late and missed. SUMMERFEST tracked the pace, angled out to gain a short lead into the second turn, stayed on when challenged into the stretch, then weakened the final furlong and held the show. COMMODORE BARRY allowed to settle, moved up on the two path through the second turn, bid three wide into the lane and weakened in the drive. MAGICSTICK mid pack, looped up three wide through the second turn, fanned widest into the lane and could not gain. STORMBIRD'S SONG sent from the gate, sprinted clear, then faded into the second turn.
