Chart notes
AMERICAN UNION stalked the pace outside, bid outside, gaining a short lead into the stretch, shook clear, then drew off and was kept to the task. RESIST THE DEVIL allowed to settle, moved up three and four wide through the turn, bid four wide into the lane, angled out and closed well for the placd. SPANKHURST well placed and outside, moved up three wide through the turn, bid on that path and evened out. TITRATE tracked the pace, saved ground on the two path through the turn, came through inside of rivals into the stretch and ran evenly. IWO JIMA mid pack, looped up two and three wide through the turn, bid four wide into the lane and could not gain. SOCIETY BOY set the pace on the inside, stayed on when challenged into the stretch, then faded the final furlong. EAGLES PALACE dwelt at the start, was no factor. R B MODEL T was never involved. A STEWARDS' INQUIRY INTO THE RUNNER OF THE RACE, RESULTED IN NO CHANGE
