Chart notes
AMERICAN XPERIMENT broke alertly then was hustled, set the pace under pressure to his outside, vied in the two path early on the turn then dropped closer to the rail, responded well when asked for more coming to the quarter-pole, kicked clear into upper stretch and drew off under steady urging. FAN THE FIRE was restless in the gate but came away well, chased the pace on the outside, made a bid while four then three wide on the turn, lost touch with the winner under a drive in upper stretch and proved no match while clear for the place. SLIPSTREAM broke in and brushed the gate, steadied off heels early then chased the pace, raced inside on the turn, tipped to the two path under a drive in upper stretch and weakened but secured the show. LIFE IS GREAT broke in at the start, pressed the pace on the outside, vied between horses while three then two wide on the turn, dropped back while still on his inside lead in upper stretch and tired. BAD TO THE BONES broke a half-step slow then was taken up while pinched back, fell well behind under urging, went two then three wide on the turn, moved to five wide outside the quarter-pole and was no factor. STREET N SOUR brushed with a rival while hustled early, chased the pace down the backstretch, dropped back while moving from the two path to the four path on the turn, drifted out in upper stretch and faltered. TOKAMAK broke a half-step slow, was urged along off the pace, dropped back fast at the seven-sixteenths and also faltered.
