SAMARONTI raced four to five wide in the second flight entering the turn, rallied on the far outside through the stretch and went clear for the place. KLEON stumbled at the start and was outrun early, hugged the rail improving through upper stretch, then flattened out. SIXTY ONE vied inside BLAKENSTEIN to the turn, edged away while shifting three or four paths off the rail after six furlongs, then gave way leaving the eighth-pole. LOAD UP MOE was slow into stride, raced three wide and failed to menace. MACHO REAL was outrun early, and never factored two wide. BRETT'S WORLD tracked the dueling leaders well clear of the others to the turn, but came up empty after six furlongs.
