Chart notes
HARPERS FIRST RIDE was forwardly placed early on, raced along the inside around the far turn, continued to race near the rail in the drive, dug in nearing the sixteenth pole and held gamely under strong encouragement. MAGIC MICHAEL stalked the early pace, raced three wide near the quarter pole, moved up four wide in the stretch run and finished well to be second best. CORDMAKER pressed the early leader through the far turn, veered in slightly nearing the eighth pole and weakened a bit in the final stages. MISCHIEF AFOOT was unhurried in the early stages, raced four to five wide in the drive and had not enough. FOREWARNED was slow early early on, raced towards the inside and never was a factor. TWO THIRTY FIVE raced in a bit tight early on, angled out three wide around the first turn, raced five wide nearing the three sixteenths pole and had no late response.
