SWEEPING GIANT was taken in hand early, tipped into the two path on the opening bend, was reserved off the pace, came under urging while two then three wide on the final turn, was driven four wide into the stretch, made a good run behind the winner into the final furlong and finished with good courage while second best. OHTWOOHTHREEFIVE bumped lightly with the winner at the start, went three wide on the first turn, tracked the pace on the outside, was given his cue while two then three wide on the far turn, gained to make a bid into the stretch then took a short lead, drifted in under a right-handed crop near the furlong marker, was collared by the winner inside that marker and weakened but just held the show. DOWAGIAC CHIEF bobbled at the start, showed early speed, rounded the first turn in the two path, contested the pace on the inside of a foe, vied along the rail on the far turn, was asked under pressure at the quarter-pole then came under a drive in upper stretch, battled under a drive into the final furlong, brushed with a foe while dropping back into the final sixteenth and tired. NYQUEST NIX showed speed on the inside of a foe, was keen into the first turn then taken back off the pace along the rail, raced in the pocket while rated just off the pace, drafted inside on the far turn, was asked outside the quarter-pole, bumped the hindquarters of DOCTOR DAVIS into the stretch and lacked the needed response. WICK LOVES A FIGHT was off slow and spotted the front a couple lengths, saved ground at the rear of the field, moved out in upper stretch and failed to threaten. DOCTOR DAVIS lost his footing at the start, moved up into the first turn, went four wide on that bend, attended the pace on the outside, vied in the three path on the far turn, was asked outside the quarter-pole, had his hindquarters bumped into the stretch and tired. R DOC was fractious in the gate and ejected his rider out the back before being rejoined in the gate by the jockey, went three wide on the first turn, settled on the outside, went three then four wide on the far turn, was roused at the five-sixteenths, came six wide into the stretch and failed to respond.
