Chart notes
COMBAT ZONE contested the early pace with SARNI, rated nicely through the backstretch, was two wide on the second turn, had a clear lead off of the turn and was mildly pressured in the final sixteenth by the runner-up but held on to prevail. KODIACTION sat just off of the early pace, was three wide on the second turn, made a late rally in the stretch and put mild pressure on the winner but could not close the margin while besting the rest. HONOS MAN settled in the midflight while saving ground, gained ground off of the second turn and into the stretch but lacked the needed late response. LORD WIMBORNE (IRE) settled off of the early pace, was four wide on the second turn and showed late interest in the stretch to challenge for third. SARNI contested the early pace with COMBAT ZONE, saved ground along the second turn while still dueling on the front end but was outrun off of the turn and gave way in the stretch drive. CANYON CREST was unhurried in the early going, trailed through the second turn and was not a factor.
