AKROYD broke sharply and dueled fort he lead one out from the rail entering the first turn, forced the issue two wide in the run down the backstretch and through the final turn, was unable to match strides with TEXAS HUMOR entering the lane, and finished three wide in the drive to hold the place. VALUE MAX was off a step slow, and pinched between rivals to trail the field into the first turn, commenced his bid from along the inside approaching the final turn, and closed willingly from along the rail in the drive to just miss the place.
