Chart notes
COLONEL JUAN forced the pace outside, cruised to the lead on the final turn and drew away while geared down late. THE ROBERT settled inside, came out and bumped rival in the stretch and finished willingly. TIVANO in tight early, raced wide, was bumped near the top of the stretch and tired. SPRING EMPEROR pressured inside by the winner and proved empty in the stretch. GRIT'N'GRIND was urged close up between rivals for half a mile and faded. KRISTI'S COPILOT dropped to back of the pack and trailed throughout. Following a stewards inquiry and an objection by the rider of TIVANO, THE ROBERT was disqualified and placed third.
