Chart notes
SMOOTH TALKIN TOM set the pace through moderate fractions, was hooked in mid stretch and was headed, came again in deep stretch and was up in the final strides on the rail. LOOKS GOOD N A TUX pressed the early pace, rallied in the stretch and gained a slight lead,, battled gamely and just missed. GEH SCHNELL was well placed and saved ground and went evenly late. KNOCKOUT RANGER never far back, lacked a late response. PORT HUNTER raced three wide and tired after three quarters.
