Chart notes
STYLISH PAINT gave chase toward the inside, raced near the rail on the turn, closed to the front later yards and raced clear approaching the wire. PRIME LIME contested the pace toward the inside, dueled clear approaching the head of the lane, was steadily handled from the eighth pole, gave up the lead later yards and just lasted for second. GOLD AND STRIKE contested the pace through the backstretch and raced close off the rail on the turn, drifted toward the top of the stretch but recovered stride the final furlong and just missed second. BELLA GIANNA chased and rounded the turn about the three path then flattened the final eighth. SECRET AFFIRMATION gave chase through the backstretch, raced off the rail on the turn and showed little further. DIMITRI'S ROMANCE gave early chase outside and rounded the turn about the four path. FIRST LADY MAGGIE became fractious in the gate then picked up the chase and rounded the turn off the rail.
