Chart notes
NO MORE BUSINESS vied two wide between foes for a half, angled in nearing the lane, dueled to midstretch drew clear leaving the eighth pole and held safe. GRAN RUNNER tracked the pace inside, angled four wide near the five-sixteenths pole and rallied outside. KING FORCE advanced three wide around the turn, took the lead near the five-sixteenths pole, vied outside of the winner from there to midstretch then weakened. REDJACK set a pressured pace inside and retreated nearing the lane. EL MAYOR steadied along down the backstretch, raced two and three wide around the turn and never threatened. LINGUIST had brief speed four wide. BALTASAR ducked into the gap, lost the rider and walked off. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE INCIDENT SOON AFTER THE START AND FOUND NO REASON TO ALTER THE ORIGINAL ORDER OF FINISH.
