ARTFUL BALLERINA pressed the pace, was pinched back along the rail early turn, chased into the stretch, dove for the open path along the fence, had command a furlong out and drew clear under a drive. MEET THE SOPRANO, at the back of the pace in the early stages, was roused three-wide late turn then rallied gamely outside. SUNSPRITE stalked the pace, came three-wide through the turn, chased into the stretch and finished gamely. BENNY'S BUTTON dashed to the lead mid way of the backstretch, set a pressured pace, dueled late turn, shook clear upper stretch but was passed with a furlong to run and lost positions near the wire. NERO DAVOLA stalked the pace. raced two-wide on the turn, rallied between rivals but evened out in deep stretch. HUMBLE BEGINNINGS forced the pace, dueled late turn, was headed at the top of the stretch and gave way.
