Chart notes
FREELANCER pressed the pace early two wide, raced in the three path along the turn, was off the rail into the lane and drew away in the stretch under a steady drive. GUNOE chased the pace early, raced in the four path along the turn, was in the five path into the lane, no match for the winner in the stretch but was second best. NORGAY raced back early on, was in the three path into the lane, angled out in the upper stretch and moved up late in the stretch run. DOCTOR NASH was briefly steadied early on, tracked the pace, was in the three path into the lane and weakened late in the stretch drive. MAC'S TIME raced back early on, was in the four path along the turn, raced in the five path into the lane and improved position in the stretch. BLUE KENTUCKY was bumped at the start, set the pace early, was on the inside into the lane and gave way down the lane. TRADEMARK hopped at the start and was through after a half. INBOUND chased the pace early, was on the inside into the lane and faded in the stretch. KENDALL SQUARE came out at the start and was no factor. JACKPOT WINNER was always outrun. DUE TO A TIMER MALFUNCTION THE HALF MILE AND FIVE EIGHTHS TIMES WERE HAND-TIMED.
