CHECK THE GEAR sprinted clear at once, saved ground while setting the pace, increased his margin into the stretch and was ridden out to be kept to task. HICKORY WIND was off slow, raced unhurried early, moved three-wide through the turn, angled in with a furlong to run and finished with a steady bid. SARGENT KLINE lacked early foot, steadied nearing the five-sixteenths pole, angled out approaching the stretch and finished with a late bid. FIREWALKER chased the leaders while racing four-wide and weakened in the drive. GHOSTFINDER showed brief speed from the inside and weakened. OVERLY FAST was off a step slow, settled off the leaders early, moved five-wide through the turn and weakened.
