Chart notes
SLEW'S TIZ WHIZ was allowed to settle early, raced three-wide through the second turn, angled in with a furlong to run while taking command and drew off. AMERICAN BUDDHA chased the leaders while racing four-wide, moved up to offer a bid nearing the five-sixteenths pole, bumped with IDIDNTSEETHATCOMIN nearing the sixteenth pole, could not match strides with the winner late but held off that rival for the place. IDIDNTSEETHATCOMIN was reserved just off the leaders early, moved five-wide through the second turn, offered a bid in mid-stretch, bumped with AMERICAN BUDDHA nearing the sixteenth pole and gave way to the winner. GORDON ANTHONY was bumped at the start, tracked the leaders from the inside and weakened in the drive. RINGS OF SATURN showed no early speed, saved ground through the second turn and did not menace. JUSPASSINTHRU was bumped at the break, opened a clear margin soon after and weakened after going three-quarters. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY CONCERNING THE BUMPING BETWEEN AMERICAN BUDDA AND IDIDNTSEETHATCOMIN AT THE SIXTEENTHS POLE AND AFTER REVIEWING THE FILMS MADE NO CHANGE.
