Chart notes
CHRIS THE BEAVER sprinted clear soon after the start, saved ground while setting the pace, increased his advantage into the lane and was fully extended to hold INQUISITION safe late. INQUISITION was off a step slow, raced unhurried early, saved ground through the turn, remained inside for the drive and finished with good late energy. PRINCE OF LUCK broke sharply to chase the winner while racing three-wide throughout and lacked the needed late response. OFFICER OF WAR was forwardly placed early, moved five-wide through the turn and gave way in the dirve. KING CHARLIE showed no early speed, raced three-wide through the turn and was not a factor. SMILE FOR ASHLEY hopped at the start, raced just off the leaders early, moved six-wide through the turn and weakened.
