NOTHING BETTER vied three wide for the lead, dueled three wide on the turn, put a head in front in upper stretch, dueled with VALMONT and inched away for the win. VALMONT vied inside for the lead, dueled inside on the turn, dug in gamely inside of the winner in the stretch drive and battled to the end. LATIN CASINO tracked inside, saved ground on the turn, rallied on the rail and dug in to hold third. BASSO raced off the pace between rivals, came four wide into the lane, rallied mildly outside and missed for third. KING JAMES raced three wide off the pace, steadied three wide at the quarter pole and lacked a rally. ABE HONESTLY vied between rivals, dueled between horses on the turn and faded.
