Chart notes
DOUGS PAL vied from the four path, responded to challenge from ARIZONA GRAND in the far turn, was kept under handling through the stretch and held. AWESOME KNIGHT saved ground from just off the rail, shifted out to the three path and rallied steadily late to earn place. ARIZONA GRAND sent for speed outside, pressed three wide leaving the backstretch, was unable to get by the eventual winner and was edged out late for place. TORCHLIGHT broke out into IMPERIALITE, chased from rail and passed tiring. IMPERIALITE bumped leaving the gate then trailed the field and failed to menace. DARE TO GO chased the pacesetters through the turn and gave way in the final furlong. TIMER MALFUNCTION- The race was hand timed due to a timer malfunction.
