ARDENLEE STAR broke sharply to set a pressured pace, opened a clear margin nearing the seven-sixteenths pole and drew off through the lane. DOCTOR BRUCE S. was reserved just off the leaders early, appeared hard to rate, saved ground into the stretch and failed to gain on the winner in the drive. CITY STEEL chased the winner while racing three-wide and gave way in the drive. HOT ENCOUNTER settled off the leaders early, moved three-wide through the turn and lacked the needed rally. REGAZZE CAT showed no early speed, saved ground through the turn and did not menace. GUARDINGTHEMONEY lacked early foot, raced three-wide through the turn and was not a factor.
