Chart notes
MALIBU JEWEL attended to the early pace, was three wide on the second turn, mounted a bid off of the turn to vied for the lead and dug in determinedly in the final stages to nail BLUEGRASS SKY on the wire to prevail. BLUEGRASS SKY sat just off of the early pace while saving ground on the second turn, vied for the lead off of the second turn,led in the final sixteenth but was nailed on the wire by MALIBU JEWEL while holding on for second. PARTY SPIRIT (GB) settled in the midflight in the early going, was two wide on the second turn, rallied off of the turn, was gaining on the top two and finished willingly in the stretch. LA GATA ELEGANTE set the early fractions, was two wide on the second turn and weakened in the stretch run. BLUE BREEZE settled in the midflight, was three wide on the second turn and did not rally in the stretch. ROUGE BOUQUET was unhurried in the early going, improved position on the second turn while four wide but gave way in the stretch drive. PASSIONATE ROAD broke last of the field and settled at the rear, was four wide on the second turn and was not a factor.
