Chart notes
ALWAYS SUNSHINE showed early speed on the inside, dueled with HOPEFUL TREASURE on the turn, shook free from that rival at the top of the lane and drew clear under urging. HOPEFUL TREASURE set the early pace racing off the inside, dueled two wide on the turn, dug in gamely in the stretch drive and came up second best. EASY DAY stalked three wide, chased the leaders on the turn, came three wide into the lane and rallied mildly for third. ARCH CAT raced off the rail, off the pace, three wide on the turn, came four wide into the lane and lacked a rally. THREES OVER DEUCES raced off the pace, four wide on the turn, came five wide into the lane and had no rally. FACTOR IT IN chased inside and failed to threaten. VIOLENT TURBULENCE was in tight between rivals and steadied along in the early stages, then raced off the pace and did not factor.
