LIFE DON'T OWE YOU opened a clear lead soon after an alert break, stayed close to the rail around the turn, ran out entering the stretch and remained clear under steady handling. SIX CIDER was bumped hard into MERGE leaving the gate, advanced the rail around the turn, moved closer in early stretch but lacked the needed closing. MACHO SMOKE was slow early then made a mild late gain outside. LONG TOM ducked out into SIX CIDER leaving the gate, stayed inside and lacked a rally. CHARLIES SAFARI was outrun. MERGE was bumped hard leaving the gate, moved early to chase the winner then sotpped. PENNSYLVANIA STEEL reared up leaving the gate, went off stride while rank and quickly fell far back.
