Chart notes
BLACK STEEL took quick control to rate the pace inside, came under pressure approaching the three eighths pole, widened at the rail on the far turn and held well with steady stretch handling. SUSPIROS stalked two deep, gave chase from the three eighths pole and raced at the rail on the far turn, was no match in the lane but held on for second. ROOF TOP BAR saved ground off the pace, bid approaching the three eighths pole and raced near the rail on the far turn, then dueled through the stretch for third and was gaining on the runner-up. BUZZHOUND saved ground just off the early pace, started a bid nearing the three eighths pole, rounded the far turn off the rail, eased outward into the lane and was outfinished in the stretch duel for third. GOOGLE IT became a bit edgy in the gate and rounded the opening turn in the three and four paths, picked up the chase leaving the seven sixteenths pole but weakened on the far turn. SCOTTISH MAN was not a factor. BURN THE SHIPS stumbled and lost his rider leaving the gate. The Stewards posted the inquiry to review the start of this race.
