Chart notes
SECOND ROW CENTER vied for the lead racing inside of SLIP SLIDING AWAY around the first turn and battled on through the backstretch and around the final turn, shook free at the head of the lane then widened advantage under pressure and stayed sharp. LEMON'S MEDAGLIA rated near midpack through early stages, picked up the pace three wide late on the far turn, sustained a steady three to four wide bid in the lane and dug in for second best. JOYA DEL SUR was allowed to settle in the backstretch, saved ground around the far turn, shifted out wider and launched a bid turning for home, gained closer contention and secured a share. CASH ON FIRST tracked the pace through early stages, launched a rail bid at the head of the lane, raced in close contention then gave way in late stages. SLIP SLIDING AWAY vied outside SECOND ROW CENTER in the first turn, battled on through the backstretch and around the final turn then tired in the drive. ROSA KHUTOR raced three wide around the first turn, settled through early stages, roused for more turning for home and failed to kick on. BYZANTINE EMPIRE raced in the back and had no response when called upon.
