WINTER POOL went around the first turn in the two path, settled while last but one, was urged along passing the half-mile pole, saved ground on the far turn, swung five wide while gaining at the quarter-pole, drifted out significantly at the three-sixteenths then bumped and bothered TIZ RYE TIME before being straightened by the rider, rallied on the outside, closed fast to get the lead nearing the sixteenth-pole and proved best under strong urging. AUBURN HILLS was hustled to the front, set the pace on the inside through solid fractions, was asked on the far turn then turned three wide into upper stretch under a drive, led into the final furlong but was overtaken while able to get the place. TOP GUN TOMMY broke out then was hustled, raced in the two path on the opening bend, tracked the pace on the outside, chased in the two path on the far turn, was carried four wide into the stretch under a drive, battled with the runner-up into the final furlong and was outfinished while clear for the show. TIZ RYE TIME saved ground on the first turn, settled off the pace, was asked near the half-mile pole, raced inside early on the final turn, shifted two then three wide later on that bend, came six wide into the stretch, was forced out and bumped by WINTER POOL at the three-sixteenths then checked and lacked the needed response. GIOCARE was hustled leaving the gate, went four wide on the first turn, was urged along on the outside, raced four then five wide under strong urging on the final turn, came eight wide into upper stretch and failed to rally. BEACHWALKER stumbled at the start, saved ground on the first turn, moved off the rail at the rear on the backstretch, was urged along in the two path on the far turn, swung seven wide into upper stretch and failed to threaten. HOMBRAZO stumbled at the start, went three wide on the first turn, settled off the pace, was urged two then three wide on the far turn and faltered then was eased in the final furlong but walked off. HANDY was hustled from the start, raced inside early on the first turn, moved to two then three wide later on that bend, settled outside in third position, dropped back three then four wide on the far turn, spun five wide into the stretch then moved in and also faltered then was eased in the final furlong but walked off.
